FAQ

Where did the name “ladylovebelle” come from?

A long time ago, Rick and I were at a Birds of Tokyo concert (one of our favourite bands). Ian Kenny was singing Believer, my absolute favourite, and during this live performance he sung “You pull me, down, ladylove” - they never used to perform with those lyrics - and I loved it. They started singing Believer with the new added lyrics at all of their gigs, and that’s when I started using ladylovebelle for user names etc. It just kind of stuck around, and there you have it :)

How long have you and Rick been together and how did he propose?

Rick and I dated for a few months before finally getting together in 2007. We have lived together for over 2 years now, and love our little family (Rigby). Rick proposed on Christmas Eve 2010. It was romantic, sentimental and just the two of us at home. I very happily said yes. That boy makes me feel very lucky.

Do you like having a bulldog? What are the pro’s and con’s?

I LOVE having a bulldog. Rigby has such unique characteristics. He is very loving and protective of me, which would be a pro. There are definitely cons about having a bulldog - health issues. Unfortunately Rigby had to be rushed to emergency last year, and have day surgery due to some throat and breathing problems. He’s been very happy and healthy since, but it can be costly. We have insurance though, and think Rigo is worth every dollar.

Why did you start writing a blog?

I started writing a blog predominately as an outlet. I want to concentrate on writing more frequently and more relatively.

What do you do besides blogging?

I have a full time position at a Youth Station, but I am working my way towards becoming a freelance photographer.

Where do you get your photos from?

Majority of the photos shown on my blog are my own, taken by myself, by Rick or by a friend. Anything else used will be credited with the original source.

What kind of camera do you use?

I shoot with a Canon EOS 550D. I also love using my polaroid, Diana Mini and Holga camera.

Where do you usually shop from?

My wardrobe consists mainly of online purchases. My favourite online stores to use are ASOS, Topshop, MyCatwalk, Urban Outfitters and a few smaller sites. If I don’t have the time to shop online and need/want to go shopping locally, I like small boutiques or stores like Sportsgirl, Forever New and Dotti.
